Seasonal Pool Bartender

Compensation: $17 PER HOUR

Established in 1920, Brook Hollow Golf Club enjoys a strong reputation as one of Dallas' most historic and exclusive private clubs. World-class facilities including a fully renovated golf course that was completed in 2020, a sports complex for tennis, pickleball, wellness and swimming, and a famed ballroom in which are presented some of Dallas' most memorable and fashionable social events. During the past twenty years, Brook Hollow has renovated or replaced substantially all of its facilities.

Summary:

Brook Hollow isseekinga person withprior industry experience in food & beverage. This person will provide food and beverage service to Club members and guests. They willhave a visiblepresence around members, guest, and personnel of the Club.

Responsibilities:

• Greets customers and creates a welcoming ambiance for Members or Guests.
• Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from Members or Guests.
• Make recommendations and answer all related inquiries.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes.
• Communicate with customers to resolve complaints or ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a Clean bar and work areas.
• Enforce the rules or regulations of Brook Hollow Golf Club.
• Check identification to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
• Plan, organize, control the bar operations and maintain liquor and bar supplies.
• Use the POS system and take food orders.

Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age and TABC Certified (within 30 days of employment) expense reimbursed by management
• Private club, country club or hotel experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of standard drink recipes.
• Working knowledge of spirits, wine and beer.
• Understanding of alcohol, brand names garnishments and different glasses.
• Working knowledge of bar equipment.
• 1+Years of Experience in Restaurant/Bar or Bartender Certification is a PLUS
• Must have an outgoing personality.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and/or over time if needed.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Be able to work in a standing position throughout the shift.
• Be able to reach and bend and frequently lift, up to 30 pounds.
• Must work well with team members and help co-workers as needed.
• Should have an eye for detail and look for areas that need improvement.
• Must possess integrity, be honesty, and courteous to all.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel.
• Must be able toreach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, to perform job.
• Must have good or corrected vision
• Must be able to clearly hear, understand and communicate verbally and in writing in English with members, guests, and co-workers.
• Must be able to push or lift, up to 30lbs.
• Independent mobility throughout the Clubhouse and surrounding areas.

**This is a SEASONAL position at our outdoor pool complex.

The position will run from May 2nd-September 4th.
