REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY:

Bagatelle is an experience. It's a place to enjoy brunch, lunch or dinner and feel like you were invited into the home and table of an epicurean bon vivant from the French Riviera. It's a place to celebrate the South of France's festive spirit, generous cuisine and friendly atmosphere. The Bartender is responsible for attending to all bar related service and duties. Duties include, but are not limited to restocking bar, completing daily inventory, greet guests, and preparing drinks.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times

•Must be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests

•Set up/close workstations according to Bagatelle standards, ensuring guests are served promptly

•Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the mixing and presentation standards

•Serve guests with all beverage requirements in a friendly, courteous and professional manner

•Follow all state liquor laws and adhere to all Bagatelle policies and safety rules

•Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests

•With a sense of urgency, respond to guests' problems, complaints and accidents

•Ensure the bar and service areas are kept clean and tidy during service

•Retain and entertain guests while ensuring overall guest satisfaction

•Process cash and credit card payments

•Ensure guests are of legal drinking age as it is a requirement to be proactive

•Run bar area smoothly and efficiently and ensure the cleanliness of the entire bar

•Guarantee neat and quality service

•Inventory supply of the entire bar and fridges to include order management

•Close cash register with the manager and calculate tips

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/PRIMARY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•Ability to read, write and speak in English is needed to accomplish the essential duties of this job

•Must be proactive and anticipate the needs of the next day

•2+ years experience in a Bartender role, at a fine dining establishment

•Extensive knowledge of spirits, and traditional cocktails

•Ability to learn and efficiently produce restaurant specialty cocktails

•Working knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations

•Excellent time management

•An approachable attitude

•High school diploma or equivalent is required

Working Conditions

•Hours may vary if emergencies arise

•While performing the duties of this job, the individual in this role is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk.

•The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch and twist

•Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs

•Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions

•Working conditions can at times involve hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment and the operation of office equipment

WORK AUTHORIZATION:
