The Investment Operations Associate holds a critical role, collaborating closely with both our client families and the Wealthgate team. As an Investment Operations Associate, you will be instrumental in supporting the investment operations functions of our organization and contribute to a seamless execution of the day-to-day processes, while adhering to the highest levels of regulatory standards. Contributing significantly to the seamless operation of our investment processes while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

In this role, the Investment Operations Associate will provide essential assistance to the investment team across all aspects of portfolio investment, execution, and reporting. The ideal candidate will exhibit keen attention to detail, outstanding communication abilities, an enterprising mindset, and a strong willingness to acquire the necessary skills for this position. Candidates should ideally be located in or near Boulder, CO, as in-office work will be necessary for several days per week.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional client service through proactive communication with responsiveness, professionalism and tact.
  • Effectively execute daily cash management and money movement activities including wire transfers, ACH transfers, journals, bill pay and recurring payments.
  • Cultivate relationships with custodian banks including maintaining account opening processes, monitoring cash balances, reviewing statements and tax documents, and reconciling account activity.
  • Complete subscription documents for private investment opportunities and maintain updated information with fund managers.
  • Assist in portfolio implementations and rebalancing, including executing trades across all asset classes and reconciling trade settlement and other investment related transactions.
  • Utilize wealth management platform to ensure reports are current with new investments, values and transactions
  • Leverage financial planning software to create models that highlights a clients financial picture and potential outcomes
  • Accurately manage the recordkeeping of relevant investment-related documents, including subscription agreements, capital statements, and investment manager reports.
  • Oversee entity filing with state regulators and maintain annual registrations for the same.
  • Learn and adhere to the companys risk parameters, policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of operational experience in investment operations, banking, middle office, or related roles within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and investment operations processes.
  • Experience in treasury functions such as securities transfers, ACH/EFT, domestic and international wire transfers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, and the ability to complete tasks or projects with limited direction
  • Effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal cross functional teams and interact with external clients and stakeholders.across teams and interact with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle and protect highly confidential financial and personal information reliably and with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in investment management systems and tools, such as order management systems, portfolio accounting systems, and performance attribution tools.
  • Experience with Addepar, eMoney and/or Wealthscape.
  • Experience with private investment vehicles including: private equity, private real estate, venture capital funds.
  • Prior experience working with custodian banks such as Fidelity.
  • FINRA Series 65 license.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The base salary range for this position is approximated to be $55,000-$75,000. Actual pay will be based on the qualifications and experience of each candidate.
  • Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award. Individual bonuses are determined based on individual, team, and company performance.
