Scope

Spiegelworld is looking for Bartenders to join the team at Superfrico within Caesars in Atlantic City as we prepare for the busy summer season. The Bartender will be responsible for executing on a world class beverage program and providing the service to match. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of the menu, high attention to beverage quality, and hospitality at heart. Ultimately, you'll ensure we provide excellent guest experience by providing personalized service, presenting superb cocktails, creating an exciting experience sure to elevate guests' experiences. This is a part-time position, and the pay is $15/hour.

Primary Job Duties

  • Deliver prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages to guests in accordance with established standards.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of service bars and keep bars properly organized, stocked, and cleaned.
  • Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests at the bar and in the restaurant
  • Have a complete understanding of all applicable laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Provide prompt, exceptional, courteous, friendly and timely service to guests and employees.
  • Maintain thorough menu and product knowledge.
  • Accurately place guests Food & Beverage orders, inspect orders for quality and accuracy, ensure correct plating and serve according to standard.
  • Ask politely for the age-identification of any guest who appears to be under the age of 30.
  • Utilize sales techniques to up-sell and suggestively sell menu items, specials, and beverages.
  • Promote good guest relations and provide excellent guest response to complaints.
  • Make every effort to learn guest names and use names.
  • Ensure complete and consistent communication with management, departmental employees, and lateral departments.
  • Follow company standards of hospitality by making eye contact with every guest, smiling and offering a warm and friendly greeting with the proper verbiage.
  • Responsible for cash banks and slot banks, proper procedures for handling comps, room charges, credit cards, officer's checks and coupons.
  • Proper completion of cash turn-in sheets, voids, etc., with appropriate distribution.
  • Complete and oversee set-up and clearing of the bar area.
  • Ensure the maintenance and adequate inventory of supplies as necessary to effectively perform job responsibilities, inform supervisors when supplies are low, prepare and submit purchase requests as needed.
  • Routinely inspect surrounding areas, identifying cleaning needs, potential safety hazards, problems and maintenance or repair needs, and notify the appropriate individual(s) for proper resolution.
  • Taking part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
  • Assist other employees when needed.

Requirements
  • At least one year of bartending/mixology experience in a high-end high volume bar, lounge, restaurant or nightclub.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and follow specialty drink recipes.
  • Working knowledge of POS systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, guests, management and other departments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Passionate about guest service and delivering the best guest experience each and every time.
  • Work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Effectively assist with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, tact, friendliness, poise and firmness.
  • A highly motivated and energetic personality with a strong commitment to excellence in hospitality.
  • Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to initiate conversations with others in a polished, professional manner. Must be teamwork oriented and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable improvising in the moment as part of the guest experience.
  • Able to work in a club/nightlife atmosphere with loud music and flashing lights.
  • Maintaining any necessary licensing and work cards required, present and future. Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards.
  • Must have valid work authorization for the US. We are unable to support Visas at this time
  • At least 21 years of age.
Preferred
  • Experience with creating classic/craft cocktails.
  • Previous experience working in an energetic, hospitality driven restaurant or nightlife venue.

  • Work is performed in high volume professional foodservice environment
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

  • Constant contact with executives, department management, applicants, employees and guests is necessary.
  • Requires prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
  • Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours

  • Requires bending and reaching.
  • Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires eye/hand coordination.
  • Requires use of standard office equipment.
  • Requires basic math.
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
