PROPOSALS MANAGER- Permanent Opportunity
DIVISION: CIVIL ENGINEERING
LOCATION: HILLSBOROUGH, NI

We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly organised individual to join our growing team to support our Work Winning function. Based in Hillsborough office, the ideal candidate will have experience in bid writing and/or bid management, preferably within civil engineering, construction or the built environment.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in a similar position and will implement excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This role demands someone who pays keen attention to detail and who can both work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong IT Skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential Experience with InDesign would be a benefit, but not essential.

Responsibilities of a Proposals Manager:

Manage and coordinate all aspects of the proposal development process including proposal writing, editing, and review.

Prepare for receipt of tender documents, review and set up tender start up meetings to explore winning strategies with the opportunity lead, wider internal and external support team, manage activity for the tender preparation, collation and submission to deadline.

Prepare bid writing strategy documents.

Preparation of mid and post tender presentations as required to give the Senior Proposals Manager an update on the proposal.

Set up regular review and update meetings to monitor progress of each bid against agreed programme.

Work with the design team and subject matter experts coordinating their responses and editing or writing responses as required.

Oversee the proposal production and delivery, ensuring quality and consistency across all proposal documentation.

Follow core GRAHAM business systems and policies throughout the process, maintaining databases and ensure information is up to date.

Produce and update supporting documentation e.g. case studies, company profile documents, organigrammes and CVs

Assist with pre-qualification questionnaires, requests for information and capability statements.

Maintain the bid content library knowledge bank - ensuring winning bid content is captured, stored and updated systematically.

Working closely with the graphic design manager, ensure all submissions and marketing collateral are produced to the highest standard and contribute to the continual improvement of presentation and content, to deliver winning submissions.

Work and engage external bid consultants who may be involved in writing of bids

Personal Specification

Essential

Proven experience in a similar Proposals /Bid role

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Strong IT Skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, and other proposal software

Ability to work independently and as part as a team, with good people skills

Creative, adaptive and able to work well and remain calm under pressure

Desirable

Experience working with InDesign

Working knowledge of proposals from a civil engineering, construction or the built environment perspective
