Come join one of our high performing teams responsible for building and supporting enterprise open systems platform of the Social Security Administration (SSA) and their mission to meet the changing needs of the public, positively impacting at least 65 million American lives per month.  The SharePoint Engineer/Developer will administer large production, staging and development SharePoint 2016 on premises environments and Support SharePoint online initiatives.

  • Challenged with working on complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions.
    • Troubleshoot any issues encountered in the SharePoint 2016 on premises farms and SharePoint online.
    • Maintain, manage, test and implement patches and upgrades.
    • Review and validate platform upgrades and changes.
    • Troubleshoot, maintain and update automation scripts to ensure migrations complete successfully.
  • Work with highly experienced and technical resources
  • All other duties as assigned or directed.

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of related experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Specific experience supporting Web development, primarily on SharePoint, with experience supporting SharePoint 2016 in a multi-server farm, enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of how SQL Server Reporting Services 2016 are integrated with SharePoint 2016.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Online and integration with SharePoint.
  • Strong working knowledge of SharePoint architecture patterns including all service applications at scale.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint designer, InfoPath and SharePoint workflows.
  • Current MCTS/MCP certification related to SharePoint such as Microsoft SharePoint 2016, Admin Configuring Microsoft SharePoint 2016, and/or SharePoint Administration 2016.
  • Understanding of Agile software development practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD

FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills)

These skills will help you succeed in this position:

  • Experience building web-based systems with the Microsoft .Net technology stack employing the best practices of SOA architecture using C#, VB.Net, and ASP.Net
  • Experience with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and Angular
  • Experience and knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server database software
  • Extensive SharePoint metadata and content management expertise
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of developing secure intranet and extranet portals and external web sites.

HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:

  • Full stack web development
  • Familiarity with VSphere, VMware or other virtualization platforms. 
  • Familiarity with SSL and Digital certificates. 
  • Knowledge of PowerShell DSC (Desired State Configuration)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
