We are looking for a Architectural Field Surveyor to conduct, research and summarizing data into condensed report. This position will be full-time and onsite.
What You’ll Do
Conduct research and write histories for districts, cities, townships, and/or counties, edit and attach photos and site plans, and complete survey records for approval or edit records that have been reviewed and returned
The field surveyor will interact with the public during the survey process and will need to be able to explain what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how the information is used
Monday thru Friday, primarily field work. Must be on-site in Indianapolis the first 2-3 days of engagement for orientation, as well as 1-2 days training in the field
What You'll Need
Required:
Candidate must have valid Indiana driver's license & reliable vehicle
Experience with Microsoft office 365
Experience with digital photography
Flexibility and adaptability to work in environment and weather
Experience conducting research and summarizing data into condensed reports
Preferred:
Bachelor's in history, historic preservation, architectural history, material culture, or other relevant field
Prior experience gathering digital data GPS reading, photos, site plan, and building materials/details
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
