Marmon Aerospace and Defense is hiring a 1st shift maintenance mechanic to join our facilities team! The role is responsible for providing equipment maintenance and repair. Duties also include responsibility for the safety of the equipment, in that all applicable local, state, and federal guidelines are met. This is an onsite role in Manchester, NH operating on a 3rd shift schedule M-F (12am-8am).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain facility and equipment in working conditions to acceptable levels of operating accuracy, safety and cleanliness.
- Respond to building and equipment emergencies/outages and perform quality checks.
- Communicate and facilitate projects with outside vendors/contractors (i.e. HVAC service, electrical, construction, landscape, etc.).
- Take an active role in all lean initiatives as it relates to maintenance.
- Follow ISO 9001 policies, procedures and work instructions
- All other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Five years prior experience in similar position.
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Knowledge of electricity, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general building maintenance (structural, plumbing and carpentry).
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot equipment, machinery and controls. Work includes preventative maintenance and repair.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
