About the role
- Work with Data Engineering leadership in defining the roadmap and technical architecture(data flow) aligned to overall organizational and business objectives.
- Work with machine learning and product teams to understand use cases and requirements.
- Partner with data engineers on your team to deliver compelling solutions that meet the data demands of end users and internal business needs
- Iterate quickly, test new insights and analyze results
This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.
In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
Who you are
- 4+ years of Technical Program Management experience with related technologies, including leading significant cross-functional projects in mid-size or large companies
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building software solutions within current industry standard technologies in big data
- 2+ years of experience working with dev teams to design/architect data engineering solutions
- A first-hand working understanding of current data architecture standards in the industry
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize tasks
- Strong business and technical vision, and able to communicate that vision clearly
- Ability to prioritize multiple opposing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time
- Strong customer relationship skills, including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet ambitious timelines with efficient solutions
Qualifications
- 4+ years of Technical Program Management experience with related technologies, including leading significant cross functional projects in mid-size or large companies
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building software solutions within current industry standard technologies in big data
- 2+ years of experience in working with dev teams to craft/architect data engineering
- Strong knowledge of AWS/Databricks ML stack and an understanding of the ML lifecycle
- Strong understanding of Big data technologies like Spark, Airflow
