ISS-Corporate is seeking an experienced Product Manager candidate to join our growing cyber risk solutions group. The product team is responsible for developing and executing on our product roadmap for a new suite of cyber risk solutions for corporations. The product manager will focus primarily on supporting and enhancing new SaaS cyber risk products for the C-suite and IT departments, with the primary users being CISOs and heads of IT departments, and in some instances General Counsels and other corporate risk functions including CEOs and members of the board of directors.

The successful candidate is adaptable, eager to learn, and an efficient problem solver. They will use their creativity, industry expertise, and analytical skills to build solutions for ISS-Corporate’s industry-leading products and services. The product manager will support product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, and the integration of various data sources and existing product platforms into a cohesive, compelling, and competitively superior set of services for our core markets. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements through market research and direct client engagement, defining the product vision, developing and testing prototypes, and coordinating/managing a wide variety of collaborative activities with colleagues across Product and Project Management, Research, Development, Client Advisory, Sales, and Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop domain and subject matter knowledge of the cybersecurity industry and ISS-Corporate’s cyber risk solutions

  • Support the development of market-leading cyber risk products through market research and competitive analysis

  • Gather and synthesize abstract and complex details/concepts/data into discrete and actionable insights

  • Develop detailed business and functional requirement documents and specifications

  • Clean, transform, analyze, and visualize large data sets including both quantitative and qualitative elements

  • Develop product illustrations, prototypes, and supporting presentations based on an understanding of the user experience

  • Drive action across distinct functional teams, from product conception through launch

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with diverse stakeholders regarding data requirements, product development activities, and bug fixes

  • Assist in managing the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution

  • Solicit external market/client feedback on products through user groups, client consultations, and beta programs

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Support teams to enhance the end-user experience, expand the feature set, and drive product success and adoption

  • Maintain active interest in and awareness of industry trends and developments, and proactively communicate key developments to internal and external stakeholders

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background in network engineering and/or cybersecurity is strongly preferred

  • Background in or experience with third-party (supply chain) risk management is a strong plus

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a business analysis or software product management capacity in the security, IT or compliance industries

  • Demonstrated experience in the software development lifecycle is required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, technology, or a related field is required

  • Impeccable attention to detail and organization with strong problem-solving, prioritization, and time management skills

  • Experience in data analytics and visualization

  • Excellent oral and written communication, with the ability to develop and foster inter-personal relationships

  • Product/project management, market research, trend analysis, technical writing, and presentation skills

  • A strong work ethic, self-motivated and able to work independently and follow through under minimal supervision

  • Absolute personal and business integrity and drive to achieve product and company goals

This role is being recruited in San Diego.

Base salary: The San Diego expected base pay range is $100,000 - $140,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and level of education.
