Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Corporate Controller leads a shared services team that supports multiple branches across the United States for a growing company.
The Controller oversees the accounting and financial functions of TWRS. Duties include financial planning, managing financial processes and handling budgets. The successful candidate is comfortable leading a dispersed team that supports multiple locations and operates in multiple time zones and regions throughout the US.

Job Scope:


  • Developing and implementing financial policies
  • Overseeing the accounting staff
  • Ensuring compliance with financial and accounting regulations
  • Preparing and managing budgets
  • Managing financial reports and documents, such as balance sheets and income statements
  • Handling preparation for tax returns
  • Prepares cash flow forecasts
  • Performing financial risk assessments and doing internal audits
  • Supporting external audit activities and providing all requested materials
  • Assisting with corporate financial decisions
  • Oversees Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Application and Payroll


TWRS is a leading equipment rental company and distributor of abrasive blasting, painting, and safety equipment and supplies, supporting customers in many diverse, specialized industries including infrastructure, chemicals, power, and energy. Currently headquartered just outside of Pittsburgh, PA, the company has strategically expanded over its 20+ year history into new regions and states, with 5 additional branches located in Iowa, Virginia, Texas (2), and Louisiana.




Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible Accounting experience
  • Competence with financial software and technology
  • Understanding of financial and accounting standards and regulations
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Leadership skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritize duties
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple duties

Desirable Qualifications:

  • CPA
  • Experience in the manufacturing and/or distributing industry
  • Experience with inventory accounting
  • Experience with Sage 100 and/or NetSuite highly preferred
  • Experience working within a shared-services environment
