USA Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting investment manager research and due diligence
  • Assist with constructing the pipeline of alternative investments products for Santander clients
  • Review and monitor performance of new and existing investment managers
  • Assist broader team with inquiries regarding approved investments
  • Ad hoc research projects including white papers and analysis of several alternative asset classes
  • Assist advisors and bankers with queries related to client portfolios Various administrative tasks such as tracking investment allocations, scheduling manager meetings, taking meeting notes, maintaining electronic files, etc.
  • Develop expertise in technology and tools used for investment analysis
  • Develop marketing and educational materials and research new asset classes
USA Job Function Description: The Investment Analyst will be part of the firm's Alternative Investments Team and will report directly to the Director of Alternatives Investments. The core responsibilities will be to support the research and due diligence efforts associated with the implementation of our investment process as it relates to investment opportunities in alternative investments, including private equity, venture capital, real estate, credit, real assets, hedge funds, and other alternative investments. The role is expected to assume more responsibilities over time based on development and performance

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:
Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) in terms of industry focus, market trends, etc.
Creates compelling demos for internal and external use.
Create a roadmap that drives growth and profitability based on client needs.
Focus on existing product /enhancements. Build critical partnerships with key business lines (Sales, Client Services, IT, Risk, RMs).
Support Sales on key relationships as well as new opportunities
Responsible for all components of client readiness, and colleague readiness (pre-launch activities which require participation from multiple stakeholders - Sales, Implementation, Client Services, Business Services, Marketing, etc.)
Builds a product roadmap aligning solutions to services with SLAs, OLAs, costs and budget models.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline preferred
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in an Analytical Role
  • Possess a basic knowledge of alternative investments and investment manager due diligence and a strong desire and motivation to learn
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable presenting in group settings and have the confidence to express an informed opinion
  • Self-driven, reliable and able to perform under pressure and with minimal supervision in a small team environment
  • Be intellectually curious, inquisitive and have a strong interest in capital markets
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail and initiative to improve or design investment- related processes are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint is required While taking appropriate initiative, the candidate will be able to handle multiple requests and prioritize effectively while maintaining a positive and flexible attitude.
  • Bilingual preferred, with the ability to read, write, and speak Spanish proficiently
