POSITION PROFILE

We're looking for an organized, good-natured F&B Supervisor prepared to assist Palihouse Santa Barbara with daily operations. From ensuring a delightful guest experience to overseeing inventory and streamlining communication with the hotel staff, this role calls for a friendly disposition and experience in hospitality.

TASKS AT HAND:

  • You’re a friendly face that greets guests and enhances our guests’ experience by bringing your own flavor to the restaurant
  • Making sure guests are having a fabulous time, from the moment they arrive until it's time to say goodbye.
  • Creating a warm, friendly, and laidback atmosphere that turns first-time guests into regulars.
  • Learning our steps of service, products, menu, and systems inside and out.
  • Supervising all food and beverage outlets and offerings within the hotel and restaurant to ensure excellent customer service
  • Consistently offering professional, friendly and engaging service.
  • Ensureing service standards are followed while actively supporting the entire restaurant team.
  • Handling guest concerns in a timely, efficient, and trusy manner
  • Balancing a combination of operational, administrative and colleague needs throughout a day of restaurant service.
  • Assisting with the execution of on-site events, from public-facing programming to private functions.
  • Communicating effectively with all departments to ensure that customer service needs and expectations are fulfilled.
  • Working with the Hotel General Manager on the scheduling of all food & beverage team members.
  • Working directly with staff to assure food and beverage quality, good service, and cleanliness are strictly adhered to.
  • Executing both opening and closing duties and maintain an efficient, effective, and prioritized work schedule.
  • Maintaining inventory and its protocols and systems.
  • Learning and embracing our steps of service and brand standards

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Familiarity with MS Office, Google Apps and other organizational computer tools.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal preferred.
  • Provide legible communication and directions.
  • Compute basic arithmetic.
  • Perform job junctions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • Prioritize, organize, and follow up.
  • Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
  • Follow directions thoroughly and work with minimal supervision.
