Valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of California. Previous experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred, particularly in clinical settings serving diverse populations and age groups. New grads are welcome to apply. Current CPR certification. Job Summary: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides quality care to all residents. Under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (“COTA”) helps plan and implement patient treatment, plan, and coordinate patient discharge, and prepare detailed progress reports and appropriate patient documentation. Treatments will include training in daily living activities, functional skills, motor development, compensation techniques, use of adaptive equipment and splinting. The COTA will not be expected to perform patient evaluations. Qualifications: Licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of California.
