Overview:

Our team at Hotel Bardo Savannah is searching for a reliable, driven Engineer 1 with a willingness to learn to join our Engineering team in maintaining our hotel and creating a unique and rejuvenating environment for our guests. In this role you will play a pivotal role in preserving the properties standards for excellence while working in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Our ideal candidate will be dedicated to upholding the highest standards of comfort and functionality throughout the hotel.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all hotel equipment
  • Make repairs to air conditioning system, pool and spa, electrical fixtures, furniture, plumping, and kitchen equipment as needed
  • Perform and maintain work to local, state, and federal codes
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all guests and team members
  • Respond to all maintenance requests in a positive and timely manner
  • Effectively anticipate, identify, and solve maintenance problems
Qualifications:
  • A passion for providing a well-maintained hospitality environment and at least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Trade school or college course work in related field preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • Excellent presentation and grooming standards
  • Able to maintain positive working relationships and consistent communication across all departments
