Overview:

Hotel Bardo Savannah is seeking a meticulous and proactive Purchasing Supervisor to oversee the Resort’s purchasing and receiving. Our ideal candidate will ensure the timely acquisition of goods while maintaining cost-efficiency and quality standards

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with department heads to understand procurement needs and priorities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with finance and management teams to establish and monitor procurement budgets.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or operational efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels to meet production and operational demands.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Mitigate risks associated with procurement activities and maintain proper documentation.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management preferred.
  • Basic understanding of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
