Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and structures. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Candidates must have experience working in the shipyard.

Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Fabricate sheet metal products using various tools and equipment such as shears, brakes, saws, and welding machines
- Measure and mark dimensions on sheet metal according to project specifications
- Cut, shape, and bend sheet metal using hand or power tools
- Install sheet metal products and structures according to design plans
- Repair or replace damaged sheet metal components
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet industry standards
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role with Navy boats repair.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and equipment operation
- Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Excellent mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy materials.

-HVAC Experience is necessary for this role.

-Minimum 5 years of experience working in the shipyard.
