We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Technology Product Owner to join our Product Management team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA – Hybrid.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Leads product development and strategy for large and/or complex data, analytics, technology, and software products. 
  • Usually assigned to high-growth product area expectations and has fully developed core expertise in industry trends, market segments and competitor profiles. 
  • Experienced in Agile and Scrum methodologies. 
  • Collaborating with department heads to ensure product strategy alignment with company goals. 
  • Overseeing budgeting and resource allocation for product initiatives.
  • Primary responsibilities include Directing the overall technical product strategy for the organization. Using subject matter expertise, experience and thought leadership to influence and direct the technical product management team, key stakeholders, and senior leaders.
  • Collaborating with other department heads to ensure technical product strategy alignment with company goals. 
  • Overseeing budgeting and resource allocation for product initiatives

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical related field, typically Engineering or CS degree, or equivalent work experience required. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical/engineering role and SME on the technology. 
  • Proven experience as a technical product manager (10+ years). 
  • Strong technical experience with the ability to communicate and present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders/audiences. 
  • 5+ years of experience collaborating with and advising executive and senior leaders to set strategy, define the product, and make tough judgements between time to market and features. 
  • 5+ years of product management experience delivering large scale products. 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple project simultaneously. 
  • This role requires deep product management expertise, excellent leadership and influencing skills and strong business judgement.

Provides technical leadership in a specific business domain within a line of business. Serves in a cross-program role to ensure quality of the deliverables within their areas of expertise and drives innovation and strategic solutions within global, mission-critical, large-scale programs. Provides expertise for a specific domain within a line of business. Directs and assists team to elicit, challenge, and prioritize requirements, translate into functional design and use case models. Manages the project scope, objectives, constraints and assumptions for a large, strategic, multi-year program. Provides guidance in development of the technical design, test plans, and user documentation. Leads implementation/conversion strategy planning and implementation. Manages scope and change throughout the initiative utilizing formal change control and requirements traceability. Gathers and analyzes information and provides recommendations to address strategic business objectives that span multiple, global business and technology areas. Participates in industry forums and keeps current on domain knowledge for their specific business and application areas of expertise. Applies experiences with existing software and/or systems development processes to define and collect metrics and develop better processes to be used in the future. Actively influences software and/or systems development process improvement initiatives. N/A. Contributes to the achievement of related area objectives. Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred. 10-12 years of experience in providing consulting advice to senior IT and business management required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
