Job Title: Change Specialist - Configuration Management Location: Sterling Heights Michigan 48310 Onsite Requirement BS Technical degree (Engineering preferred), Data reporting, Experience with "Change Requests" and Configuration Process in manufacturing or automotive industries. Due to the nature of the work being performed US Citizenship is required Job Description Due to the nature of the work, this role may require on-site presence up to 100% at times. This position will work in the Configuration Management area. Familiar with Problem Reports which generate Change Requests (CR)/Request for Variance (RFV) coordinate with other CS2's to prepare Engineering Change Orders (ECO) package for delivery to internal and external (USG) customers. Main contributor to Engineering Release Records and delivering to internal and external (USG) Customers. Support CS1 and other CS2 activities. Maintain accurate Configuration Management files and records, Interface with Design Services Project Coordinators to ensure that Configuration Control Activities are in sync with the priorities of key projects/programs. Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect: Monitor PDM Plus Change Analyst work to ensure that current work and backlog thresholds are properly maintained, and quality standards are upheld. Provide status of Engineering Release Record (ERR) backlog for Tracked and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. Interface with Design Services Project Coordinators and CS2 Lead(s) to ensure that Configuration Control activities are in sync with the priorities of key Tracked and FMS programs. Provide weekly Over-Time assessment guidance to Section Manager & CS2 Leads Basic understanding of Deriving Change Requests (CR)/Request for Variance (RFV) through the Change Process. Assist in Preparation of CR/RFV packages for Configuration Control Board (CCB) review. Create agendas and schedule CCB meetings. Prepare for and attend Physical Configuration Audits (PCA). Prepare and submit Configuration Management (CM) Plans according to contractual requirements. Support Change Specialist 1 activities as required. Maintain accurate CM files and records. Create CDRLs for which Configuration Management is the owner and submit for Data Management delivery to customer. Interface with Design Services Project Coordinators to ensure that Configuration Control activities are in sync with the priorities of key projects / programs. Position Requirements: 1-3 years' experience with Teamcenter performing as either a Change Specialist, Change Analyst or comparable engineering support function / tools / processes. Bachelor's degree preferred with a technical discipline desired (e.g., Engineering or Supply Chain) Preferred proficiency in analyzing technical data including engineering drawings, specifications, and change documents. Proficiency in Configuration Management identification, Release, and Change Control processes Strong problem solving and decision-making ability. Proficient communication, organization, and prioritization skills Detail-oriented. Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office applications. Goal-oriented and able to work under time sensitive and demanding conditions. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Configuration Management principles and methods contained in ASNI/EIA 649, EIA649-1, ISO 10007, MIL-STD-973, and MIL HDBK-61A. Familiarity with data management principles and methods contained in DI-SESS-81000E, DoD Directive 5230.24, and MIL-STD-31000A. Knowledgeable of military & industry standards (EIA 649, EIA 649-1) Previous Configuration Management experience and CM2 certification Experience with Product Lifecycle Management / Enterprise Resource Planning systems. Experience collaborating across markets and functions.
