Physical Requirements
Work performed in typical office environment, constant phone and computer usage. Position entails frequent sitting, walking, and standing. Occasional bending, stooping, grasping, and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.
Shift
8:00am to 5:00pm; Monday through Friday; 40 hours.
Job Summary
This position operates as a contract manager and is required to determine the best methodology when performing basic procurement responsibilities, forming the procurement instrument, evaluating bids, and reviewing and administering procurement agreements. This requires a person who is skilled and flexible in their performance of their duties. Contracting Officer accepts legal responsibility for actions taken in the performance of assigned duties. Contracting related to construction and facilities needs of the University are a key component of this position, along with service to other sectors of the University. Other duties as assigned.
