Position Summary:

The Avanti Polar Lipids Financial Reporting Specialist - ERP System isresponsible for assisting in managing the day-to-day operations of theAccounting department with focus on supporting ERP system training, assessment,and preparation for system upgrade & conversion to SAP, monthly financialreporting, ad hoc reporting, data analytics, and review and testing system ofinternal controls.

Responsibilities:
Assist with future implementation of system enhancements and changes to ERP system (SAP)
Day to day administration of finance owned systems and support of month end process where required
Liaising with IT to manage ad-hoc projects or issues affecting finance
Approving access to GP/SAP finance roles, maintenance of GL
Preparation of mitigation reports for senior management team
Project management of system enhancements and process improvements
1st line testing of newly implemented enhancements
Ongoing development of finance data warehouse for reporting & analytics
Identify areas of opportunity for process improvement and automation
Where relevant, coordinate with Internal Audit regarding Internal Controls documentation & testing
actively participate in all financial reporting, forecasting, financial analysis, data analytics, ad hoc reporting, and special projects
Other finance duties as required

Inaddition, the Financial Reporting SpecialistFinancial Accountant will play akey role in assisting in maintaining the Companys current accounting system, MicrosoftDynamics GP (formerly Great Plains) and work with the SAP lead and finance manager on SAP system implementationon site . This will include working withthe Head of Finance and Regional Finance Manager, key internal operationspersonnel, and outside consultants to assist with the following:
Development of a General Ledger Chart of Accounts consistent with Croda Inc, and to align and meet the accounting needs of Avanti Operations, the strategic plan, and migration of existing G/L data into the system
Assist with development of procedures and controls pertaining to inventory and accounting for inventory costs
Analyze processes and procedures to ensure appropriate system of internal accounting controls, accounting accuracy, and desired efficiencies are attained
Education: Bachelor of Science in Accounting
