Our client, a leader in the design and manufacturing of global communication systems is seeking a dedicated Sales Engineer to support the Customer and the internal Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with sales acumen to understand client needs, present their products and solutions, and develop lasting partnerships. This position is office-based and the selected candidate will be required to be geographically located within commuting distance of Rochester, New York.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver detailed technical & pricing proposals, including system specifications, project timelines, and cost estimates, in collaboration with the engineering and project management teams.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations to government & industry decision-makers, showcasing the benefits and capabilities of our solutions.
  • Customize product offerings to align with specific defense projects, addressing client concerns and requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the defense industry, including military personnel, procurement officers, and defense contractors.
  • Create technical content that highlights the value of our products in defense applications.
  • Provide post-sales technical support to clients, addressing any technical inquiries or issues that arise during the implementation and operation of our systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related technical field. Master's degree is a plus. Equivalent military experience will be considered.
