Compensation Overview The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. International analytics are quickly rising to the forefront of Travelers Leadership data needs and wants – Sales & Distribution, Rate Retention, Quote & Submission, Certified Agency, Certified Business, Salesforce and more. Composed of 3 teams and growing, the International Continuous Development Circle is tasked with delivering data, analytic & reporting solutions, big and small, to a growing list of International, Enterprise, US Segment, Canadian & European business consumers. We are seeking a Sr Mgr, Business Insights Delivery who can lead a diverse team dedicated to developing and enhancing strategic datasets within the Policy Post-Issuance data domain as well as developing, maintaining and enhancing the tools and processes built thereupon. We need someone who can ask difficult questions, align customer value with circle goals and firmly push back or say no when they deem appropriate. This individual can be hands on when necessary while also possessing strong leadership and management skills to coach and run an agile team focused on delivering business value. As a Sr Mgr, Business Insights Delivery, you will lead an Agile team responsible for delivering actionable value to business consumers across the organization and the globe. You will collaborate with technology and business partners across Travelers, International leads and fellow team leads to grow and execute a common multi-year vision rooted in smart, reusable designs and intuitive best-fit visualization and analytics tools. What Will You Do? Lead a team of individual contributors that are executing on multiple projects and activities. Foster an innovative, inclusive and diverse team environment, promoting positive team culture, encouraging collaboration and self-organization. Provide guidance and coaching and drive career/technical development for team members. Drive and contribute to the building, execution, and adoption of insights delivery solutions among business partners, including reporting, guided analytics, self-service, embedded, augmented, and data as a service capability. Contribute thought leadership to semantic layer and material view design and builds. Accountable for the selection of solution design options which includes the coordination with developers and architecture to map and present solutions, communicate timelines, and impact to business value and information delivery. Partner with the Architecture team to assess and understand the patterns necessary to achieve the best outcome. Provide feedback on the design of the broader insights portfolio and its ability to address business problems. Execute supporting data strategies with an understanding of enterprise architecture, consumption patterns, platforms and application infrastructure. Present analysis and recommendations to help influence management decisions. Maintain relationships with partner teams to ensure needs are met and impacted areas plan work accordingly. Understand and implement team goals and strategy, ensuring alignment with circle and value stream vision; Articulate team goals and strategy effectively to key stakeholders, Circle Leads and team members. Own team backlog, including prioritization and refinement; Make trade-off decisions to maximize value. Inform and participate in business readiness; understand the impact of change, implement the approach to manage adoption and mitigate resistance. Provide feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements and contribute to removing roadblocks or impediments; Look for opportunities for continuous team and process improvement. Share best practices across teams to ensure alignment and consistency in ways of working within a value stream. Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Intermediate knowledge of data tools, techniques, and manipulation including cloud platforms, programming languages, and technology platforms. Experience leading development of analytic data products, including pilots and proof of concepts preferred What is a Must Have?
