Micron’s Global Communications and Marketing team is seeking a motivated Director to direct a team and its external Thought Leadership efforts. This strategic function will play a central role in crafting company narratives, messaging and associated content that help different audiences better understand Micron’s role and relevance across a range of industry topics. The messaging and content will be applied across both earned and owned marketing and communications channels to reach and engage audiences You will bring significant experience in mapping a company’s product and technologies to key industry dynamics and mega trends. You will have the opportunity to work on high-profile initiatives that will demonstrate the candidate’s understanding of the technology, industry dynamics, business priorities with the ability to weave together compelling stories for different audiences. Role and Responsibilities: • Serve as the key storyteller to build impactful messaging and content that ties together key industry trends, the competitive landscape along with Micron’s product and technology solutions and business priorities. • Work with market intelligence, corporate strategy and business units to identify and keep updated key industry data points and Micron product and technology proof points to help substantiate and differentiate Micron’s messaging and content • Work closely with Micron senior and C-suite executives to build and align on the overall Micron technology narrative and messaging architecture that becomes the basis for external technology leadership storytelling • Coordinate and provide support to cross-functional teams to ensure Micron’s technology narratives and messaging is coordinated in our efforts • In partnership with the Corporate Communications team, help build executive thought leadership platforms across the executive bench • Lead content strategy and development for external engagements including speakerships, keynotes, key media interviews • Lead the creation of Micron’s overarching themes and messaging for participation in key industry trade shows, events and marquee moments • Support Investor Relations in content development for investor events Qualification and Education: • Bachelor’s degree or higher • 10 years of experience working in product marketing, product management or marketing and communications functions in high-tech industries • Combination of strong eye for business and a broad understanding of the semiconductor industry trends and Micron’s product and technology leadership • Strategic problem solver with strong storytelling, message creation and writing skills • Proven experience working across function to gain alignment with different collaborators • Experience in leading and growing team members • Ability to work optimally across multiple organizations to understand priorities, identify content and proof points to develop a compelling and coordinated story for the company • Strong desire, dedication and ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment with consistency, and steadfastly push self and others to innovate • Detailed-oriented with strong analytical skills • Ability to optimally present and sell ideas to C-suite executives • Ability to lead shifting priorities with agility and work well cross functionally The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is: $157,000.00 - $314,000.00 Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
