Job Summary: The Sr. S&OP Planning Analyst is a key contributor to the S&OP plan for their product group. They will work closely with production, sales, and marketing to develop a supply plan that adheres to inventory and service level requirements across multiple selling channels/DCs. The Sr. S&OP Planning Analyst will be responsible for purchasing a wide variety of direct and indirect materials required to support their product group’s supply plan. They will also work collaboratively to identify consumer trends and supply constraints and mitigate any associated risks. Monitors inventory and service levels and makes supply adjustments (expedite / postpone) as necessary working both with production and vendors. The Sr. S&OP Planning Analyst partners closely with the demand planner, product manager, and operations to develop a supply plan for their product group. The person will analyze inventory trends and lead time and make suggestions or lead process improvement initiatives within the product group. This role is also a key contributor to the timing and success of new product launches. Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for finished goods supply plan and availability. • Monitor and meet S&OP targets including inventory and customer service levels. • Translate forecasts into supply requirements for all SKUs within assigned product/DC portfolio. • Maintain continual supply of materials and define sources of supply at a favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, and other requirements to prevent disruption of manufacturing departments and services. • Monitor and act on any inventory requisition deviations that could impact cost or improve quality or delivery. • Place POs with vendors and follow up as needed to ensure deliveries are on time. Respond accordingly to maintain defined service levels. • Manage vendor regarding replacement of NC materials, order cancellation, and receipt of appropriate replacement or credits • Collaborate with QC and lead vendor relationship when resolving NCR’s (Non-Conforming Report). • Work cross-functionally to reduce supply risk while minimizing cost and maximizing customer service. • Coordinate and communicate inventory changes and action plans with S&OP Lead, including inventory burn off and/or supply recovery plans. • Act as key contributor for new product launches by ensuring material arrives in conjunction with market introduction dates. • Provide updates to stakeholders and management regarding project status and supply chain issues. • Minimize excess / obsolete inventory. • Act as a liaison with external suppliers in placing orders while always maintaining the image of integrity. • Develop ad-hoc reports and tools as necessary from multiple sources and formats to create tools for planning decision support, capacity and inventory analysis, and other purposes. • Additional responsibilities as assigned. Education : • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level of relevant experience. Certifications/Licensing: • APICS certification is preferred. Years and Type of Experience: • 5 years of supply chain experience. • Team leadership experience. Key Required Skills, Knowledge, and Capabilities: • Knowledgeable of supply planning processes. • Excellent communication and follow up skills to manage expectations and resolve conflicts with stakeholders. • Strong numerical problem-solving skills. Ability to boil down vast amount of data to the relevant points. • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams on an international basis. • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint a must. • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
