Job Description:

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Canoga Park, California location. This will be a first shift position.

At this facility, we design & manufacture rocket engines and unique power systems that support space exploration & the defense of our nation such as NASA’s SLS, Lockheed Martin’s THAAD, Sierra Nevada’s Dream Chaser, and the Mars Perseverance Rover.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and support production machines and maintenance systems through preventative maintenance activities and troubleshooting of production down machinery.
  • Maintain and repair machines manufactured by one or more of the following manufacturers: Mazak, Makino, G&L, DS Technologies, Charmilles, Sciaky, Ipsen & Sip.
  • Process equipment, pumps, air compressors & emergency generators in maintaining machine tool systems.
  • Use and knowledge of bearing types, hand tools and measuring tools.
  • Read & Interpret blueprints, hydraulic schematics, assembly drawings & research maintenance manuals during trouble shooting of breakdowns.
  • Perform precision alignments.
  • Preventative Maintenance of production machinery & Maintenance systems
  • Troubleshooting and repairing production machines down
  • Forklift & man lift support


Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 5- 10 years of experience preferred. Basic computer skills and Blueprint/Schematic reading required.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Certification or hands-on experience maintaining and repairing machines manufactured by one or more of the following manufacturers: Mazak, Makino, G&L, DS Technologies, Charmilles, Sciaky, Ipsen & Sip.
  • Experience repairing and maintaining machine tool systems - process equipment, pumps, air compressors & emergency generators.
  • Experience using and interpreting data from process instruments & tools ( micrometers, torque wrenches, surface finish, dial indicators, etc.)
  • Experience using assembly drawings, hydraulic schematics and maintenance manuals for setup procedures.
  • Experience determining bearing types.
  • Experience performing precision alignments.
  • Experience with forklifts, manual lifts and harnesses


In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $55,993.60 - $108,534.40. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
