What is the job like? As the Production Laser Welder, you will prioritize, perform, and deliver laser welded products to the next operation. This is a weekday, first shift hours, full time position in our Cedar Park, Texas facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Operate, program, and set-up laser welding machines.
- Measure before and after operations.
- Collaborate and effectively communicate with coworkers and engineers to quickly resolve problems related to products and procedures.
- Resolves most problems and refers only more complex issues to higher levels.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONSRequired - 2 years or more experience operating, programming, and setting up pulsed benchtop laser welding machines, utilizing filler wire material.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Handle small components with accuracy.
- Able to sit for extended periods of time of 8 or more hours.
- Able to properly utilize calibrated measuring devices.
- Requires fine motor skills.
- Work requires good patience.
- Work is repetitive in nature.
- Self-driven to complete tasks, autonomous in nature.

Our plant has high demand and is operating 24/7 to produce these products for our customers. To meet the demand for our products, we provide employees with an air-conditioned environment, highly organized and clean manufacturing facility and have a strong safety program designed to ensure our team goes home safe to their families after every shift.
