**Description**

**Summary:** The Bartender is a team member classified based on individual theatre needs, and/or employee availability, as a variable hour, part-time employee whose main responsibility is to provide exceptional products with fast and friendly service in a clean and well-maintained environment. They must have a genuine concern for ensuring guest satisfaction and represent the company in a way that is consistent with the Companys mission statement and policies. Must be 21 years of age or older and successfully completed a background check.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties as assigned.

Regular and consistent attendance

Must be of legal age to sell and/or serve alcohol per state and/or local laws

Ensure guests are greeted and served in a timely and professional manner and in accordance with REG standards

Present menu and promote specials to guests

Remain knowledgeable on all food and beverage menu items, including specials and promotions, and Regal Crown Club. Must be familiar with beer, wine and spirits related to menu items

Check guests identification to confirm they meet the legal drinking age

Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each client and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem clients and having them removed

Ensure guest satisfaction smile, greet, and thank all guests

Must take prompt, appropriate action to turn dissatisfied guests into repeat guests

Ensure that all food and beverage (including alcoholic beverages) are consistently prepared and served per REGs recipes, portioning, and serving standards

Attend to tables in the lobby area as needed

Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar equipment/utensils, lobby tables, and furniture

Keep updated on recipe changes

Collaborate with the managers, cooks, and servers to prepare menu items timely

Properly store food and alcohol items at appropriate temperatures

Rotate stock items as per established procedures

Restock bar for subsequent shifts

Keep bar area clean in accordance with the companys guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department

Ensure that the bar area is cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift

Maintain a "clean as you go" approach throughout shift

Labels, dates, and signs all products per required procedures

Mix all drinks based on the serving sizes as outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum

Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar and in the auditoriums satisfied at all times

Report and maintain accurate bar inventory

Comply with all food safety rules, laws, protocols, and standards.

Adhere and maintain all Health Department rules and regulations

Proper handling of all monies and merchandise (including non-saleable and saleable)

Responsible for accuracy of cash drawers, inventory, and delivery receipts

Knowledge of counterfeit bill detection procedures

Knowledge of proper operation and cleaning of all related equipment

Report any and all damages or maintenance issues to management

Report any and all suspicious activity, persons, or items to management immediately

Proper use of all food and beverage related storerooms

Proper use of all cleaning materials

Accurately tracking and reporting tips

Knowledge of all opening, closing and in between show procedures

Knowledge of all emergency, evacuation, and robbery procedures

Excellent sales techniques, including up selling and suggestive selling

Knowledge of and adherence to all laws, legal obligations and company policies regarding the serving of alcohol.

Knowledge and compliance of dress code

Maintain excellent personal hygiene

Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks and/or meal periods

Ensure lost and found items are handled in accordance with REG policy

Completed or in the process of completing cast performance certification program

Must be SDS trained

Must be TIPS certified

Obtain food handlers card where applicable

Report any and all damages or maintenance issues to management

Report any and all suspicious activity, persons, or items to management immediately

**Requirements**

**Qualifications:**

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. **Education/Experience:**

High School Diploma or equivalent (if not currently a high school student). One plus years of bartending or server experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality location. Certification as a mixologist from a reputable bartending school preferred. Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as a concessionist or progress towards completion required. It is your responsibility to complete any legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate. In addition, you must complete the Regal Entertainment Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University. ServSafe certification preferred

**Language Ability:**

Possess good public speaking, listen effectively, and respond clearly and directly.

**Math Ability:**

Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.

**Reasoning Ability:**

Identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes of problems. Evaluate relevant information, recognize alternatives and reach conclusions based on evidence. Take action beyond what is necessarily called for. Perform under pressure and/or opposition.

**Personal Skills:**

Possess excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management. Establish goals, budget time and set priorities to achieve desired objectives.
