Treasury and Trade Solution (TTS) is part of Citi’s Services organization. TTS is a leading provider of cash management, treasury, trade, clearing, depository receipts and commercial cards services. Citi Commercial Cards, with proprietary issuance capabilities in 100 countries, including local-currency programs in 59 countries, is a leading commercial card provider to large and multinational organizations as well as major government agencies. Commercial Cards solutions include Corporate Card (Travel & Entertainment), Purchasing Card, One Card and Virtual Card Accounts (VCA). The Commercial Cards Operations Risk and Control Sr. Mgr (Cash & Trade Proc Sr Manager) is a member of the TTS NAM Cards Operations Risk and Control team which is dedicated to ensuring compliance with current and emerging regulatory requirements, providing centralized control execution for key risks, and performing quality and MCA monitoring on behalf of NAM Commercial Cards Operations. This position will partner with Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal and other Product/Business stakeholders to identify necessary controls, remediate control gaps, ensure compliance sustainability, and the efficacy of our compliance environment. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others. This position will report directly to the TTS Cards Operations NAM Commercial Cards Risk and Control Head. Responsibilities: Manage the U.S. Commercial Card Operations portfolio of regulatory control gaps to ensure they are identified and tracked through the creation of Issues and corrective action plans that are properly scoped, measurable, actionable, realistic and delivered in a timely manner Identify, escalate, and support remediation of control breaks, including regional Matter Requiring Attention (MRA’s) as identified by regulators Partner with TTS NAM In-Business Control (IBC) Regulatory Change Manager and Product Business Risk Officers to complete Regulatory change management assessments and action plans for U.S. regulations Work closely with Independent Compliance officers to assess impact and action needed for new regulations to ensure U.S. Commercial Card Operations meets incremental compliance requirements Strong partnership with NAM Commercial Cards Operations stakeholders and Product Business Risk Officers to demonstrate compliance with all aspects of enterprise, regulatory requirements and operational risk mitigation Design, implement, and execute controls to ensure process robustness and reliability and ensure comprehensive documentation is up to date for all processes Support and/or coordinate compliance, audit and regulatory assessments and reviews Partner with the Manager Control Assessment (MCA) team to document U.S. Commercial Card Operations process, risks, controls and monitoring Engage with Global Commercial Cards Risk & Control and Operations stakeholders to drive global consistency where feasible Contribute to automation/transformation efforts to de-risk processes Travel possible – maximum 10% Benefits This is a key role in our organization with senior visibility and diverse interaction across the Commercial Cards Operations, TTS, and enterprise risk and compliance organizations This role provides an opportunity to understand the TTS U.S. Commercial Cards business and Operations This role will result in a broad network of personal relationships across TTS Commercial Cards globally and understanding of bank risk management Qualifications: 5 years relevant work experience in risk & controls - demonstrated knowledge of operations, risk, controls, compliance, regulations and audit functions ideal Working knowledge of U.S. Commercial Cards applicable Regulations and Policies preferred, including (but not limited to) MCA, Sanctions, AML, Information Security, COB, EUC, Complaints, Third Party Management Strong analytical skills and working knowledge in the principles of regulatory, credit, strategic, operational, compliance, and reputational risks Knowledge of Operations, preferably Commercial or Consumer Cards Proven ability to think critically and desire to innovate, drive change, and challenge the status quo Experience interacting with Regulators and Internal Audit and an aptitude to process and interpret complex policy and regulatory language An aptitude to challenge conventional thought and drive higher standards Willingness to champion and question quality Exceptional writing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts and translate into effective presentations to senior audiences Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines will be critical Autonomous and highly motivated with the ability to multi-task productively and to work independently as well as collaboratively People Management experience preferred Education: Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, Master’s degree preferred
