Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Cardiothoracic Surgery in Florence, SC - Military veterans preferred

A facility is seeking a cardiothoracic surgeon for locum tenens coverage. In Florence, South Carolina, visitors can delve into the city's rich cultural heritage by exploring the Florence County Museum, showcasing diverse art collections and historical exhibits. Credentialing takes 30-45 days. Candidates who can commit to 7-10 day stretches are preferred. Board Certification is required, and candidates need at least 2 years of experience with sufficient case logs. Additionally, candidates must have an active SC license, CSR, and DEA certification. The position involves call duty and OR coverage. The facility performs 400 heart procedures and 100 TAVRs annually. The ideal candidate should have experience in cardiac procedures, including TAVRs, and ideally, experience with lung procedures and robotic lung surgeries would be beneficial. The hospital provides support with 5 APPs, including 4 PAs and 1 NP who works in the unit.
