Summary/Objective:

The Human Resource Recruiter will play a key role in supporting various HR functions, including full life-cycle recruiting, onboarding, training, data tracking, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR best practices as well as the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Fluent in Spanish and English is preferred.

Essential Functions:

  • Establish and lead recruitment efforts, utilizing creative and innovative sourcing techniques, especially for high-volume and high-turnover roles
  • Create job requisitions, review resumes, screen candidates, and applicant tracking system entries
  • Develop and maintain internal relationships with the HR team and leaders to align recruitment strategies with succession and workforce plans
  • Manage, source, and recruit for a range of positions (exempt and non-exempt), including the cultivation of relationships with temp agencies as needed
  • Manage contracts and keep an open line of communication with new/current temp firms
  • Cultivate external and internal networks, partnerships, and individual relationships to source candidates for immediate and future needs
  • Outreach and stay updated with universities/colleges/trade schools career/job events to market and source talent
  • Ensure consistent full-cycle recruiting/interviewing practices by providing training to managers and supervisors
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide general HR support to employees for policy and process clarification
  • Proficient with managing candidates in Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Provide occasional coverage during breaks for our primary receptionist
  • Assist with HR tasks and duties when needed to fill in
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility: No


Required:

  • 2+ years recruiting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferably in a construction environment)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of full cycle recruiting and onboarding processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships
  • Knowledge of the basic principles and current practices of Human Resource management especially as it relates to federal, state and local law
  • Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)
  • Must be available to work assigned schedule (8am-4:30pm) Monday-Friday

  • Position may require visits to construction site

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines

Travel:

  • May require infrequent travel (not overnight) for career fairs and school visits

Preferred:

  • Prior military experience
