JOB SUMMARY

A Warehouse Associate is a professional who is responsible for fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing, and storing inventory according to purchase orders and store policy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Moving palletized material using Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
  • loading a truck using MHE. MHE may include electric pallet jack
  • Organize stocks and maintain inventory.
  • Inspect products for defects and damage.
  • Organize warehouse space.
  • Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
  • Check, verify and fill customer invoices.
  • Operate a pallet jack and ability
  • Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized daily.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

•Works well with a team.

•Proven warehouse experience

•Ability to operate hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.

•Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system

•Team player with organizational skills

•Exhibits effective communication skills, essential to providing instructions and suggestions about warehouse organization to management and other warehouse associates.

•Pays close attention to detail, a skill essential in identifying order discrepancies and product deficiencies.

•Demonstrates strong customer service skills, for the purpose of handling customer complaints.

•Must be able to multi-task and work efficiently.

•Demonstrates excellent time management skills.

•Possesses a clear knowledge of computer ordering systems.

•Has the ability to navigate and troubleshoot computer systems as necessary.

•Can think creatively and spatially, in order to efficiently and effectively organize inventory.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • The workday is a standard 8 hours, and is spent in a warehouse setting.
  • The position involves a significant amount of physical labor, requiring long hours of lifting up to 25lbs, packing, standing, and movement around the warehouse.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Good reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Dress Code: Long Jeans
  • English speaking and understanding required for safety purposes.
  • Steel Toe Shoes Required
