Job Description

ENGINEER IV

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport's (NUWCDIVNPT) Naval Array Technical Support Center (NATSC) integrates all towed array and tow cable repair level activity into a consolidated facility. The NATSC facility provides lifecycle support (diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, refurbishments, upgrades, and repairs) for all Navy towed arrays, including surface ship and submarine applications. NATSC provides depot-level repair services for towed-array Sound Navigation and Ranging (SONAR) systems which cannot be repaired at the operational-level (onboard) or the intermediate-level (Naval base). NATSC is certified to repair and modify a wide variety of towed-array equipment for surface ships, submarines, and surveillance platforms.

Job Requirements

Duties:

  • Demonstrated proficiency troubleshooting and testing towed arrays
  • shall maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all Jigs, Tools, Fixtures (JTF) and test and plant equipment IAW the maintenance procedures in the NATSC CM System
  • add technology improvements to NATSC operations by modifying and/or upgrading JTF and plant equipment. The Contractor
  • Active Secret Clearance

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering or science discipline
