Primary Responsibilities:
* Preparing the cashier schedule on a weekly basis and submit for review
* Train cashiers in all aspects of their job
* Train cashiers to take complete and accurate orders
* Get proper approval on refunds & returns when necessary
* Supervise cashiers at all times
* Interact with customers and maintain a friendly and helpful manner at all times
* Teach cashiers customer service skills
* Handle cashier sick calls and scheduling problems
* Deal with any conflicts that arise with the cashiers
* Handle returns, voids, and problems at/on registers
* Supply change for cashiers
* Keep registers and surrounding area clean and organized
* Be prepared at any time to open a register to relieve long lines
* Train cashiers to maintain displays & product at POS
* Perform other related duties as required
Competencies:
* Two years retail cashier experience
* Prior supervisory experience is preferred
* Ability to lift 40 lbs.
* Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels.
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to work well in a team environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Works independently, solves problems effectively, is resourceful when questions or challenges arise.
* Accepts and capably performs additional responsibilities assigned by Management.
