In this role, you will be a member of our highly reputable Quantity Surveying team. The QS team delivers solutions to clients in the areas of Conceptual Estimating, Budget Development, Cost Planning, Feasibility Studies, Value Management, Cost Reporting, Final Accounting, and more. We’re looking for talent to join our Aliso Viejo, CA office as we continue to grow. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the team, assisting with responsibilities for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex commissions. Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying/Cost Management, to include:

  • Conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports.
  • Change Order Documentation Review (for completeness & accuracy), Approvals Routing, Commitments and Awards Tracking, Change Management Logs Maintenance, and providing input for Budget Management, Contingency Use, Cost Exposures and Cash Flow.
  • Applying Value Management techniques at the outset of a project.
  • Managing estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Managing the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including pre-qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively.
  • Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively.
  • Ensuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client.
  • Value engineering.
  • Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
  • Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages.


Qualifications

  • Must hold a minimum class 2.1 Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management.
  • 2+ years' of quantity surveying or cost management experience.
  • Ability to interact extremely well with many different client types.
  • Advanced skill level in Excel and intermediate knowledge of Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff and/or Success Estimating Software is a plus.
