Threat Tec is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Scientist II to join our team for the Marine Corps Forces Cyber Command (MARFORCYBER) Comprehensive Cyber Support Services III contract at Fort Meade, Maryland. As a Data Scientist II, you will play a crucial role in analyzing cyber threat data, developing advanced analytics solutions, and providing actionable insights to support cyber defense operations.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of cyber threat data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Machine Learning Model Development: Design, develop, and implement machine learning models to detect and mitigate cyber threats.
  • Threat Intelligence Integration: Integrate threat intelligence feeds and sources into analytical models to enhance threat detection capabilities.
  • Predictive Analytics: Utilize predictive analytics techniques to anticipate emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Data Visualization: Create compelling visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex cyber threat information effectively.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cyber analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and develop tailored data-driven solutions.
  • Model Evaluation and Optimization: Evaluate model performance, conduct model tuning, and implement optimization strategies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations in clear and concise reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Security Clearance: Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or cybersecurity analytics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical techniques, and data mining concepts.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Elasticsearch.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, tools, and frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to dissect complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and contribute to the success of cross-functional projects.
