Job Summary

This position will work with the Corporate and Foundation Programs. The Program Manager will join an entrepreneurial and dynamic team in IIE’s overall role as Program Implementation and Administration Partner to the Ford Foundation on the Ford Global Fellowship (FGF) which aims to connect and support the next generation of social justice leaders who are advancing innovative solutions to end inequality. The Ford Global Fellowship Program is a 10-year, $50 million dollar commitment by the Ford Foundation to create a dynamic, participatory and impactful global fellowship program. The program continues to evolve, and the team is looking for a creative and collaborative program manager with strong project management skills and global event experience.


Essential Functions:
• Serves as project manager for the team, developing calendars and project timelines in collaboration with all partners.
• Supports the successful implementation of all fellowship program components and the community of practice, with a special focus on global event management. This includes leading all Fellow travel logistics, supporting Fellows through visa processes as applicable, ensuring events meet the necessary accessibility needs, overseeing participant data in relevant systems while following established processes to support event participation and planning, etc.
• Provides individualized support to Fellows, partners, and consultants as needed based on the program cycle and needs.
• Lead procurement, selection of, and supervision of different local implementing partners based in countries where FGF holds gatherings.
• Trains and oversees seasonal support needed for global events.
• Supervises an IIE team member dedicated to this program.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

Education and Work Experience:
• Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of related work experience, or combination education and experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of and demonstrated experience in global scholarship, fellowship and/or grant-making work.
• Experience and ability to work on complex teams and with multiple stakeholders while holding a global lens on all work, including a demonstrated ability to contribute to inclusive, equitable groups in which everyone participating feels valued.
• Ability to work under deadline with shifting priorities and on several projects simultaneously while assuring timely completion of tasks.
• Detail-oriented with demonstrated project management skills understanding both the big picture and details needed for successful execution. Global event management experience preferred.
• Strong interest and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to interact with all levels of team members and partners.
• Ability to exercise discretion on confidential matters.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary Range: $63,299 - $80,945. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, internal organizational equity, and geographic region.
