Threat Tec is seeking an experienced and innovative Data Scientist III to join our team for the Marine Corps Forces Cyber Command (MARFORCYBER) Comprehensive Cyber Support Services III contract at Fort Meade, Maryland. As a Data Scientist III, you will lead advanced data analytics projects, develop cutting-edge machine learning solutions, and provide strategic insights to enhance cyber defense capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Data Analytics: Lead and conduct advanced analysis of complex and large-scale cyber threat datasets to identify emerging trends, patterns, and vulnerabilities.
  • Machine Learning Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy sophisticated machine learning models and algorithms to detect, classify, and mitigate cyber threats effectively.
  • Predictive Analytics and Forecasting: Utilize predictive analytics techniques and time series forecasting models to anticipate future cyber threats and enhance proactive defense strategies.
  • Threat Hunting and Detection: Collaborate with cyber threat intelligence analysts to develop proactive threat hunting methodologies and enhance threat detection capabilities.
  • Data Engineering and Integration: Work closely with data engineers to build scalable data pipelines, integrate diverse data sources, and ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Visualization and Interpretation: Create interactive visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate complex cyber threat insights to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and cybersecurity technologies, and apply innovative approaches to solve complex challenges.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior data scientists, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

  • Security Clearance: Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Education: Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or cybersecurity analytics.
  • Extensive experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and natural language processing techniques.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.
  • Proven track record of leading complex data analytics projects and delivering impactful results.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical mindset, critical thinking skills, and the ability to tackle complex problems with innovative solutions.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
