Join the Cleveland Clinic team, where you will work alongside passionate caregivers and provide patient-first healthcare. The J71/J72/J73 nursing units for Cardiac and Heart Failure Step-down are part of Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular and Thoracic institute. Since 1995, Cleveland Clinic has been recognized as the top hospital in the country for Cardiac care.
As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac and Heart Failure Step-down unit, you will provide care to patients who suffer from angina and/or myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmia, ICD/pacemaker insertion, ablation and cardioversion. In addition, RNs provide care to pre-operative patients undergoing open heart surgery for CAD, TAVR, aneurysms, faulty heart values and pulmonary hypertension. An RN in this role will learn to provide direct nursing care, administer prescribed medications, prepare patient care plans and perform thorough bedside daily rounds. Work alongside seasoned nurses who are eager to educate and coach new graduates.
What to expect during your residency program:
•A success coach will be available 24/7.
•Weekly check-ins to ensure personal and professional goals are met.
•Personal assessments to determine areas for growth and opportunity.
•10 to 12 weeks of orientation along with 10 residency days throughout the first year.
