HOW A PLATFORM ENGINEER - INTERMEDIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Platform engineers enable application developers to put software into the hands of users in an easier manner.
- This is the case when there is integration between on premise systems and cloud services.
- Platform engineers build systems that allow teams to build on.
- A platform engineer writes code that bridges the gap between software and hardware and tests the system so that it runs effectively and smoothly.
- Act as lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project.
- Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of network development from analysis of mission needs to verification of network performance.
- Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:- Education: AS with 7 years of experience, or BS Degree with 5 years of experience
- Required Skillset:
- Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces
- Capture all interface designs in a common interface control format, and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository
- Clearance Level: TS/SCI
- Required Certification(s):
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
- IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent
- Computing Env: MCSA Server 2016 (You can start with the first exam completed (70-740) and must obtain the full MCSA Server 2016 within 180 days from start date.)
- Desired Computing Environment certification: MCSA 2016/2019/Azure, Linux+, VCP-DCV 2020-2022, etc.
- Location: On Customer Site
- Additional:
- Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
- Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity
- Travel may be required to support the mission

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $112,904 - $152,752. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
