Primary Responsibilities

In the role of ProcessBIM Designer, we'll count on you to:

  • Model mechanical piping system layouts and perform elementary mechanical design of piping systems for water / wastewater, utility, industrial, and institutional power and energy facilities
  • Prepare piping diagrams, composite piping plans, equipment arrangements, piping isometrics, and other detailed drawings required for fabrication and construction under the supervision of a Mechanical Designer or Engineer
  • Route piping in 3D
  • Conduct short-term field assignments at client facilities to support project work as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Active interest in learning the engineering disciplines assigned and growing into a senior designer.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a Technology program or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
  • Comprehensive understanding of piping systems.
  • Piping design/drafting experience
  • Other compatible piping design programs is a plus such as MicroStation or AutoCAD Plant 3D
  • Database familiarity a plus
  • Local candidates preferred
