Job Title: Lead, Operational Assessments SME (TS/SCI w/ CI Poly) Job Code: 10273 Job Location: Colorado Springs, CO Job Description: L3Harris Technologies has an opening for a Lead, Operational Assessments SME for an important national security program. Successful candidate will provide operational assessments and advisory support in a dynamic, high-paced environment while guiding rapid evolution of planning projects and doctrine through demonstration and Government review and evaluation. The candidate may be charged with generating product and deliverables, which may further require the coordination of government approvals to meet the customer’s needs. Essential Functions: Perform work activities on-site. Prepare, Plan, and Integrate assessment planning and strategy activities into customer plans, exercises, training, and operations. Support the development of assessments in Operational Plans and the Annex N (assessments) in the customer’s order. Provide Operational Assessment subject matter expertise to outside organizations in support of planning coordination and deconfliction. Coordinating and integrating assessments with customer’s organizations to include mission partners, support requests into the customer’s plans and orders. Reviewing and supporting development of operational-level assessments for customer capabilities and operations and associated Concept of Operations documents. Provide Operational Assessments to support the development of Review and Approval packages to gain approval for the employment of space capabilities. Coordinating and providing logistical support for assessments meetings and workshops on behalf of the customer. Generate, share, present briefings and products for senior leadership and enterprise awareness. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. Active Top-Secret clearance with CI Poly required. Proficient with Joint Planning processes. Preferred Additional Skills: 10-13 years working with either IC or DOD customers. Lead planner in a higher headquarters supporting a , General Officer/Flag Officer staff. Lead assessments planner in an operational headquarters or planner staff. Graduate of: Maritime Advanced Warfighting School or; School of Advanced Military Studies or; Joint Advanced Warfighting School or; School of Advanced Warfighting or; USAF Weapons School. Familiar with: Space operations/Satellite Operations. DoD/NRO spacecraft. Air Operations Center Operations and planning cycles. Operational Design.
