Systems Engineer Senior GDIT has an opening for the position of Systems Engineer Sr Must be clearable for a position of public trust and standard background investigation check We are GDIT. Offering the technology transformations, strategy, and mission services needed to get the job done. We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be a change agent by working on the TFM2 contract. TFM2 provides modernization and life cycle support of Information Technology infrastructure that host national implementation of the FAA's Traffic Flow Management (TFM) functionality. It also focuses on long term engineering services and the development of new functional enhancements that increase the capability of Traffic Flow Management. Responsibilities Include: Coordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing Contributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems Perform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end Oversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools Performs complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects Assist senior engineers and field service engineering staff Create and maintain system architecture and troubleshooting documentation Monitor, analyze, & report information on system performance; identify inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecks Prepare plans and assessments, such as management engineering plans, integrated support plans, meeting presentations and implementation plans Develop integrated system requirements and proposed design solutions Research and documents analysis in technical reports and presents findings and recommendations to meet program requirements Anticipate and addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms Troubleshoot and resolve performance problems Education: Bachelor's degree( in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field) 10 yrs. related experience Qualifications: Experience using Java /J2EE applications Understanding of networking and internet protocols Familiar with Cloud Service Providers Experience with web services and API's Experience using C/C++, SQL, XML and experience with databases Experience with Cloud security Experience with IBM Rational Team Concert, IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management, GitHub , Eclipse, Docker, and/or Ansible Knowledge of the software life cycle Knowledge of user interfaces Demonstrate strength in solving complex problems Interpersonal skills to interact with team members and customer Flexible with schedule Dependable GDIT IS YOUR PLACE: 401K with company match Comprehensive health and wellness packages Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications Cutting-edge technology you can learn from Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays Work Requirements .cls-1{fill:none;stroke:5b6670;stroke-miterlimit:10;stroke-width:2px} Years of Experience 10 years of related experience may vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree .cls-2{fill:none;stroke:5b6670;stroke-miterlimit:10;stroke-width:2px} Certification Travel Required None .cls-3{fill:none;stroke:5d666f;stroke-miterlimit:10} Citizenship U.S. Citizenship Required Salary and Benefit Information The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $154,211. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
