Succession plan in place for General Counsel position Double Bonuses annually Competitive Compensation Package Quality of life position (8-5 not a minute more) | in-office Job Details We are seeking an Associate General Counsel to join the legal team to manage and coordinate the legal affairs of the company and its subsidiaries around the world; review and negotiate contracts, address employment issues and review foreign employment/contractor agreements, handle advertising issues from a legal perspective, and respond to a wide variety of requests for legal assistance from various company departments and staff. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Seeks to maximize the company’s revenue while minimizing the legal and business risk associated with that revenue. Initial emphasis will be handling foreign employment/contractor agreements, employment issues, advertising issues around the world including drafting and negotiating various brand ambassador agreements or waivers, and overseeing/handling company legal records and filings. Eventual expansion to handling or assisting with drafting, reviewing and negotiating various company contracts including but not limited to supply and distribution agreements; recruiter agreements, non-disclosure agreements; overseeing trademark issues and litigation; icensing and compliance issues; company insurance and related issues; coordinating responses to discovery requests concerning any pending litigation or other judicial or administrative proceedings; and mergers and acquisitions. Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks. Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations. Handle and maintain corporate records and resolutions. Coordinates with and oversees the work of outside counsel. Oversees compliance with applicable statutes and regulations, reviews pertinent laws and regulations, and provides legal advice to all company departments and staff. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution and be licensed to practice law in the state. 8 years minimum experience Experience in advertising law, brand ambassador marketing contracts, employment law, trademark law and liquor licensing preferred, but not required Commitment to excellence and high standards Excellent written and oral communication skills with an acute attention to detail Ability to work with all levels of management Strong organization, problem-solving and analytical skills, detail oriented Ability to manage priorities and workflow within multiple projects and meeting deadlines Work independently and as a member of various teams and committees Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance Interested in hearing more?
