As a Concrete Paving Operator your responsibilities will include:
- Operate and control concrete paving machines to spread and level concrete on various surfaces, such as roads, highways, parking lots, or sidewalks.
- Ensure the proper alignment and depth of concrete using hand tools and equipment.
Monitor and adjust the machine settings to achieve the desired concrete thickness and smoothness.
- Inspect the machinery before and after use to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions or damages.
- Follow safety procedures and use the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Collaborate with the construction team and communicate effectively to coordinate work activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
- Troubleshoot any equipment issues that may arise during operation.
Adhere to project specifications and meet the established deadlines.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 Years Operating Experience Preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
- Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
- Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
