HOW A DATABASE ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT • Responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and administering databases, including security, access, and documentation WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: • Education: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Systems or related field of study; or in lieu of education, six (6) additional years of relevant experience in database administration. • Required Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience as a software developer in building multi- tier framework software applications using object-oriented programming languages, such as Java and Python. Experience normalizing data and providing user support; • Required Technical Skills: Experience developing SOAP and REST APIs in a client/server environment (i.e., Java, Python, etc.); Experience with regular expressions; Experience developing, debugging and/or refactoring code for popular programming languages (i.e., Java, Python, etc.); Experience with scripting command line tools (e.g., Vim, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) to automate command tasks; Knowledge of web-related technologies HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS; One (1) or more years of SQL and/or PostgreSQL database administrator experience. • Security Clearance Level: TS • Required Skills and Abilities: Work alongside infrastructure, development, and managerial team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues • Preferred Skills: Experience developing applications in the cloud (AWS preferred); Experience migrating on-premises hosted applications to the cloud (AWS preferred); Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM); One (1) or more years of experience working on an Agile development team using scrum and Agile principles; • Location: On Customer Site GDIT IS YOUR PLACE: • 401K with company match • Comprehensive health and wellness packages • Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career • Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications • Cutting-edge technology you can learn from • Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays Work Requirements .cls-1{fill:none;stroke:5b6670;stroke-miterlimit:10;stroke-width:2px} Years of Experience 2 years of related experience may vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree .cls-2{fill:none;stroke:5b6670;stroke-miterlimit:10;stroke-width:2px} Certification Travel Required Less than 10% Salary and Benefit Information The likely salary range for this position is $86,700 - $117,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
