In this role, the Outpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for providing primary care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating and educating patients.

Responsibilities

The Outpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP): Conducts patient rounds as necessary Assesses daily plan of care and recommends actions in collaboration with the patient’s physician Orders and interprets appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing Performs regular medication reviews for patients and modifies orders as necessary Qualifications Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited school Current NYS license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse Current NYS certification as a Nurse Practitioner (either Adult/Geriatric) Maintains a current collaborative practice agreement BCLS certification ACLS certification 2+ years’ experience in an acute care setting
