Senior Director, Applications and Solutions Engineering.

Primary Location:

Austin, Texas, USA

Role Summary: Manage a large global engineering team across NA, Europe and Asia, focused on the Solutions Development and Applications support for NXP Advanced Automotive Processors.

Job Responsibility: Manage and develop a large global engineering applications team focusing on the integration and development of our combined hardware and software solutions for the Automotive Market Place. Define the software and tools environment to support the customer expectations for fast but safe and secure applications Development. Develop product demonstrators to exhibit the capabilities of NXP's latest products Be an integral part of the business acquisition process working with the worlds leading Automotive Manufacturers to grow NXP multi billion dollar automotive processor business. Develop engineering partnerships with the leading Ecosystems suppliers. Identify new ecosystem solutions and work to integrate those into NXP latest solutions. Develop support strategies for hardware and software to enable easy and robust product launches at NXP's key customers. Drive a Roadmap of Solutions to both support NXP's business development but also provide customers with reference designs to enable improved time to market. Lead and support NXP's involvement in key Industry bodies (SAE etc) Job Qualification:

Minimum

bachelor's degree or above in EE, Computer Science, or Physical Sciences. Expected

10 years of experience in Hardware/Software related fields with Team Management responsibilities Strong expertise in Embedded Software and Microprocessor applications Solid understanding of Microprocessor Applications and solutions development Strong background in Automotive Technology and the development of robust solutions. Knowledge of latest security standards and implementations in an auto environment. Experience in running large global teams and dealing with key customer expectations and escalations.
