Who We Are

The Inventory Planner reports to the Inventory Planning Manager to support the business by developing and maintaining inventory policies and completing day-to-day tasks related to optimal inventory levels and customer demand. This role works with the Replenishment Planning team to determine appropriate inventory strategies for managed items. This role reports all recommendations, insights, and risks up to the Inventory Planning Manager for action.

What You Will Do

Implement inventory planning strategies and plans to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demand and minimize product cuts throughout the network

Assist the manager in defining inventory planning policies, procedures, targets, and safety stocks levels for all channels and locations including the Alameda roasting plant, mixing Centers, DSD Central Warehouses, Overflow locations, etc.

Monitor inventory holding units and costs across all facilities versus target levels and investigate and reconcile anomalies

Manage inventory levels for different products by analyzing metrics such as inventory on hand and inventory turns

Define reorder points and quantities and safety stock levels for raw materials, and Retail/Away From Home (AFH) supplies

Monitor adherence to inventory policies by region or location

Contribute to space capacity planning by working closely with manufacturing and distribution to maximize the trade-off between inventory and capacity

Monitor Logility recommendations and maintain inventory policy parameters to optimize service and inventory levels

Provide support to the manager to prepare for S&OP and S&OE discussions

Identify issues that arise on a day-to-day basis and escalate to the manager

Who You Are

BA in business or related field (Operations/Supply Chain Management)

2 - 5 years relevant experience (sourcing, procurement, planning)

Ability to develop, plan, organize and manage multiple priorities

Strong desire for continuous process improvement

Working knowledge/familiarity with supply chain / planning software

Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills

A deep understanding of how to use data to drive decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

BA in Operations/Supply Chain Management or related field

5+ years experience in a Buyer or Planning role

Experience with Power BI, Microsoft D365, and Logility

Skills:

$85,000-100,000 .
