Supply Chain Planner (Evergreen), Roswell, GAArclin USA is currently seeking talent for a Supply Chain Planner job for our Roswell, GA location. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for end-to-end planning. This will include aspects of Inventory Management, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, and Production Planning. This will be accomplished by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of customer and company's products, policies, systems and supply chains.The incumbent will work closely with manufacturing, distribution, supply planning and sales to ensure achievement of "Customer Delight" objectives.Supply Chain Planner Job Responsibilities:Proactively utilize MRP's and other tools to review inventory projections & supply-demand summaries to prevent potential shortages or excessive inventory and demurrage.Implement and maintain inventory and material management strategies by regular review and optimization of inventory parameters and levels (e.g., reorder pt., safety stock, ABC categorization, forecast bias, etc.). Set up inventory targets and monitor actual inventory levels vs. targets.Ability to assess purchasing options, calculate total into stock costs and analyzing cost reduction opportunities to optimize total spend by optimizing loads via combining various products onto a single order, pre-ordering as needed to reduce costs, surveying alternative suppliers for cost reductions, adjusting hub-spoke networks as needed to reduce costs, etc.Conduct root-cause analysis for supply chain issues/variances and define corrective action plans to avoid reoccurrence. Review out of stock situations or shortage of supply issues and recommend mitigations. Utilize exception reports to identify and correct potential out of stock issues.Identify and manage potential inventory obsolescence to minimize aged inventory and eventual write-offs.Review and update inputs monthly to calculate safety stocks and inventory targets.Track and reconcile weekly/monthly metrics versus established targets.Process customer orders received by phone, fax, mail, e-mail, and EDIMonitor orders and production schedules to ensure timely deliveryMaintain welcoming and responsive rapport with customers to ensure positive experience with the companyProvide timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requestsOversee processing of customer order status and product knowledge requestsProcess customer returns according to established department policies and procedures, working closely with the Credit DepartmentSubmit and verify accuracy of customer data in ERP systemPerform first level problem solving to best meet customer's needs with least impact to company profit marginProvide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns, escalating issues to senior management when necessaryPartner with Sales Representatives and Supply Planning teams to meet and exceed customer's service expectationsCoordinate with partnered carriers to secure transportation for scheduled loadsSupply Chain Planner I Job Qualifications:Bachelors' Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or other related field3 years of customer service/supply chain experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environmentExpertise with various ERP systems within a production environmentAbility to deal with complexity and manage ambiguityDemonstrated project management skillsDrive for process improvement and ability to perform root cause analysisAbility to work independently and within a team environmentAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentStrong customer orientation***Note that this is an evergreen position, and we accept applications on an ongoing basis.***
